Founded by brothers Kendrick and Clayton Whiteman, Sun Roads Media offers photography, video production, creative direction, and media services built to capture real people, real moments, and real purpose.
With a foundation in independent filmmaking, journalism, and visual storytelling, Sun Roads Media brings a cinematic eye to every project, whether that means live event coverage, branded content, portraits, promotional media, or community-centered storytelling. Kendrick Whiteman
Kendrick Whiteman is a filmmaker, photographer, journalist, and multimedia artist from the Wind River Reservation. He is Northern Arapaho and Turtle Mountain Chippewa, and his work is grounded in storytelling that is visually striking, emotionally honest, and culturally rooted.
Kendrick earned his BFA in Cinematic Arts from the Institute of American Indian Arts in 2025 and has built his practice through independent film, media education, journalism, and hands-on production experience. His films have screened at student showcases, film festivals, and community events, with awards for sound and sound design. He has also worked and trained across professional sets and media spaces, including documentary, commercial, and television environments.
As co-founder of Sun Roads Media, Kendrick brings a cinematic approach to visual media, blending artistry, professionalism, and instinct to create work that resonates. His focus is on building powerful images and meaningful stories that leave an impact.
Clayton Whiteman
Clayton Whiteman is a visual creative and co-founder of Sun Roads Media. His work is rooted in collaboration, community, and bringing a steady, thoughtful presence to the creative process.
Clayton is a graduate of Salish Kootenai College in Montana, where he earned a four-year degree in Business. As co-founder of Sun Roads Media, he brings a strong foundation in organization, professionalism, and long-term vision to the company’s work. His background in business supports the structure behind the creative process, helping build a company that is both artistically driven and professionally grounded.
Through Sun Roads Media, Clayton is helping develop a Native-owned multimedia business focused on photography, video, and community-centered media. He is committed to building meaningful work, strong client relationships, and a creative business that reflects purpose, quality, and authenticity.
